Program Description
The Books for Kids Program- Donates up to 50 new books to Non-profits and Daycares. The books that are donated through this program have been donated to the Roads to Reading Initiative by major publishers of children’s books. The organizations must be a Federally Tax Exempt and must provide us with a copy of the 501(c) 3 or copy of their State Daycare License. Submitting a copy of your States Sales Tax Exemption Certificate is not sufficient proof of your non-profit status. Public and Charter school are not eligible to participate in this program. Non-profits that administer programs on public school property are not eligible for this program either. Books from this program will more than likely have remainder or the publisher’s donation sticker attached to them. There is a $30.00 shipping and handling fee.*
Changes in the Books for Kids Program
Going forward organizations requesting books will no longer have a choice in selecting books by title. There will be an opportunity to select titles of books only when textbooks are requested. The changes will help us expedite shipments more quickly. We will no longer donate books year around, please review the donation schedule below.
Important Program Note: The inventory of books in this program moves quickly. If you wait two weeks to send, your information there is a very good chance that the books you desire will not be available.

Why an Administrative Fee? Pathways Within, Inc. charges administrative fees for the products we offer in an effort to partially subsidize our donation programs. The fees typically represent a small percentage of the original retail price of the product. They vary by program and are based on a number of factors:
¨ The amount of work involved in launching the program
¨ The amount of work involved in qualifying and processing organizations' requests for products on an ongoing basis
¨ The expected volume of requests
By charging administrative fees, we are ensuring that Pathways Within, Inc. can continue to offer donated reading material as efficiently as possible.
